Terance began his schooling at BYU in 1989 where he was in the Design Engineering Technology (DET) program. During a two-year break from school, he served a church mission to the Philippines. During that time the DET program was discontinued. So, after a brief year post-mission at BYU, he transferred to the University of Utah and enrolled in the Architecture program. He completed his BA in Architecture in 1997 and his Master's in 1999.

Terance joined the firm in March of 1994 and has been here for his entire career. He moved to the St. George office in 2004 and considers it to be the best career decision he has ever made.

During his free time, Terance enjoys traveling, watching movies, and assembling Legos.
