Set against a backdrop of some of Southern Utah’s most impressive red cliff scenery, Hurricane High School is home to some of the finest academic and athletic programs east of the Virgin River. Not only does Hurricane High accommodate the high-achieving studies of its Tigers with painstakingly designed academic facilities; it also boasts a robust physical education complex that serves and celebrates their athletic prowess.  

The athletics complex was a chief component of NWL’s successful renovation of and addition to the school in 2013 and is fully equipped with amenities needed to help students fulfill their athletic aspirations. The comprehensively designed facility is comprised of a spacious main area with seating for 1,500, complemented by an expansive auxiliary gym for practice sessions, advanced weight training facilities, a dedicated dance room, modern aerobic exercise facilities, and an indoor running track. The versatile main court was designed to host both basketball and volleyball events, while fixed and telescopic bleachers were installed to offer flexible accommodation for various events, allowing spectators to conveniently access seating from both the main court level and the mezzanine track level.

Hurricane High’s improved athletics facility serves as a mainstay for physical development and athletic achievement for the Hurricane Tigers while fostering school spirit and engagement across the community.
