The Tooele Valley Mosquito Abatement District (TVMAD) was formed by the Tooele County Commission in 1976 to perform mosquito control operations within the Tooele Valley area. Having outgrown its current facilities the District hired Naylor Wentworth Lund Architects to design a new administration and vehicle storage facility with the goal of building the administration component, immediately followed by the vehicle storage and service bays at a future date when funding is available. The new building will house both year-round and summer seasonal employees within modern research lab, locker room, meeting room, kitchen, laundry, and offi ce spaces. The proposed improvements will be built in a single construction phase structured so that the District can continue its current operations throughout the construction of the new facility.
