Description

NWL Architects and Big-D Construction served as the design-build team for the new Mountainland Technical College (MTECH) Heber Valley Campus. Opened in August 2026, the nearly 100,000 sq ft, ground-up facility in Heber, Utah, is MTECH’s first campus outside Utah County and now serves as a central learning hub for the community, embodying innovation and purpose-driven design.

Strategically located adjacent to Deer Creek High School, the campus’s design prioritizes functionality while thoughtfully embracing the local vernacular. The building’s envelope incorporates locally sourced stone and leverages the efficiency of tilt-up construction, seamlessly blending with its surroundings. As the design-build team, NWL and Big-D managed the programming, design, and construction, ensuring a cohesive and efficient delivery.

The Heber Valley Campus offers market-driven programs in high-demand fields such as Healthcare, Welding, Automotive, Diesel, Culinary, Cosmetology, and Technology. The facility inspires, educates, and prepares the next generation for success, redefining the educational landscape with a space that fosters collaboration and career-focused education within the heart of Heber Valley.
