The new Cyprus High School in Magna, Utah, provides a modern, safe, and future-ready campus that inspires learning, fosters collaboration, and reflects the community’s strong spirit. It replaces the original high school—an aging facility, portions of which were more than 100 years old and suffered structural damage during the magnitude-5.7 earthquake in 2020.
Situated on a new 57-acre site, the 505,000-square-foot facility is Utah's largest comprehensive high school, designed to accommodate over 3,000 students. Academic wings are arranged into flexible learning communities that support collaboration and interdisciplinary teaching. Industry-grade Career and Technical Education (CTE) spaces connect students with real-world skills, preparing them for college and career pathways. The campus also includes a performing arts center, a dedicated teen center, athletic facilities and fields, and an eight-lane natatorium—features that support student development and community use.
Developed by the ELEVATE design team (Naylor Wentworth Lund Architects & Fanning Howey) and built by Westland Construction, this four-year project was guided by close collaboration with administrators and community members. The project establishes a new standard of innovative K-12 design for Granite School District and reflects a shared commitment to educational excellence.
The school welcomed students on the first day of the 2025–26 school year, marking an exciting milestone for the community and a lasting investment in its future.
