The City of Manti worked for many years on trying to secure funding for a new outdoor pool facility. They decided in 2005 to formalize their activity by forming a Recreation Board and selecting Naylor Wentworth Lund Architects to masterplan their approach. It was determined that the community could support and maintain a modest outdoor seasonal aquatics facility. Manti City and the Recreation board were able to secure suffi cient loan amounts through the Community Impact Board to kick off development. The outdoor pool complex at Manti is an excellent example of what can be achieved on an extremely tight budget in a small community. The pool that was developed combines family activity features with lap lanes for the more structured exercise enthusiasts.
