The Carbon High School Dinos don’t have to dig deep to find inspiration within their newly renovated high school’s halls, especially because their turf comes newly improved with modernized educational amenities and accommodations that are anything but prehistoric.
NWL Architects designed the much-needed renovation and addition to support Carbon School District’s educational goals and to help make 21st-century educational facility ideals a reality. This effort included the addition of 21,808 square feet in the form of a new office administration suite and media center, as well as a 49,380-square-foot renovation of the existing media center and office areas into classroom and student activity space. Multi-functional rooms were equipped to accommodate distance learning, further adding to the school’s modern educational offerings.
A striking, angular front facade comprised of a metal panel overhang and ample windows was also added to the building, giving the school an updated, sleek look that reflects the modernized educational philosophies and practices within. The secure entry was also designed with safety in mind, prioritizing the well-being of the Dinos above all. Completed in August 2021, the updated school provides vivid, inspiring aesthetics, upgraded learning equipment, and more brightly illuminated futures for generations of Dinos to come.
