A replacement elementary school in Kanab, Utah. The aging existing school was at the end of it’s useful life requiring significant maintenance costs. The desire was to provide a modern efficient building to support 21st century learning modalities. Security enhancements and design informed a layout with secure entry, visibility from the administrative suite and technology to enhance security. A new site was selected for the school. The site design included hydrology plans and onsite detention for storm and flood events. The exterior features contrasting colored concrete and ample windows.
