Designed specifically to meet the needs of Santa Clara City and to compliment the Santa Clara Historical District style with historically accurate detailing, the new Santa Clara City Hall houses administrative offices, building department, public safety, public services, courts, and city council. The administrative support spaces are flexible "landscape" design to allow for reconfiguration as program requirements require. The board and council chambers are fully multimedia capable with computerized control of lighting, projection, display, screens, smart boards and are prepared for video conferencing. The total area of the building is approximately 36,000 square feet (24,000 square feet finished, 12,000 square feet unfinished).
